Wow, sat in on a 6 hour council meeting to observe the Monaco proposal vote last night. Pretty much have to echo what most have said in that the project variance requests were just too extreme. Hopefully it comes back in a modified format because downtown growth is imprtant to the vibrancy of our city and good for the younger generation. Colin Basran and all the councillors seem on the right track. Also, after hearing him speak, I will likely vote for Rob Maybe next time around

Mortgage updates

Posted by robertsandbraun under For Buyers

Our mortgage rep informs us mortgage rates are going up 20 basis points this week. Also with budget coming down this week and the potential for amortization being lowered to 25 years from 30 and minimum down payment increasing to 7%…time for first time home buyers to lock in their pre approval to buy their greater Kelowna home.

We are downsizing from a house to condo now that the kids are gone. Half a triple car garage went to Big Brothers and Sisters today…stuff that we didn’t need but others do. Stuff we just kept because we had the room for it.

Do yourself and others a favor, pretend your are selling your home this spring even if you aren’t. There are a lot of charities in Kelowna that could make use of many of your household items that are going to waste.
